Daryl is certified with the National Strength and conditioning association(NSCA). He also is a Post rehab Specialist certificate holder with the American Academy of Health and Fitness Professsionals, along with PPS level 1 certification (Poliquin Performance Specialists). Daryl played four years of varsity hockey and has competed in numerous bodybuilding contests. Some of his titles include 1996 ANBC (American Natural Bodybuilding Conferance), Tri State Overall Champion (Junior Division), 1997 ANBC Pioneer Valley Junior overall champion, and placed  4th in the 1997 ANBC Nationals in Pitsburg, PA., 1999 New England Natural Men's Open Medium Champion.
